the civfanatics.net server (place where all of the downloads are) is down. TF has been notified.

ainwood: The newest version seems to fix the problem I had earlier with civassist not being able to run while civ3 did. It works just fine now.

Great! :D

While I was on holiday, Tomas carried-on and fixed a few problems.

Version 2.0.2108 is posted:

Code:
[b]Change Log:[/b]
*Added localization code (you can pick your locale in Options and text in your language will be displayed properly, tested on Russian)
*Fixed incorrect city improvement cost calculation for civs with commercial trait
*Modified 'Research overrun' alert to also report when 'Lone scientist' approach would achieve the same results
*Improved MapView look when drawing the map for the first time
*Added option to choose color used for 'Shield' Forests in map view
*Added visual clue for tiles which could be forested and deforested to obtain 10 shields (once you own technology to plant forests)

Interesting. The new version is back to having to manually removing the older version of CAII. Also interesting is when I went into my add/remove programs there were 4 CAII. The old versions were still there. Oh well, it's worth it.:D

oops - my mistake... :blush: I'll post a version that doesn't require this tonight.

I just noticed that if I look at the current trades it shows peace deals and nothing else? This was used on a CivIII 1.29F save I got off of this site. I used the prior version and then the 2018? version.

In this game I know 4 civs are paying gpt and have several other lux/gpt deals as well.

It works for me - it shows alliances and GPT, etc.

However, it mixed up on deal, I think. I signed a MA vs. Babylon with Portugal, and a tech for GPT deal wit Portugal on the same turn, it says we give an Alliance, we get 81 GPT, but in reality, we give AND get an alliance, and get 81 GPT.

I sent a save to you ainwood if you want to check it out.

Ok it is very inconsitent. I loaded one save and it had peace deals on one line, next line had lux for gpt.

Next save the lux was shown, but no gpt.

One shows and MPP, no lux.

Peace was done and then a lux was gotten with gpt and a tech for another tech.

A few turns later an MPP was made. The MPP was done because I had invade Greece and Chine shows up with 15-20 Riders and Calvs. They were MPP wiht CLeo, so I did not want to have everyone coming (not really a problem, but).

So I could bust the Riders on my land with no MPP trigger against me.

Anyway I just wanted to try to see how much gpt I was given back when I invade Greece and then again with Chine coming in. All 4 civs where paying lux and gpt for techs.

If this was C3C is would be easy, but sort of a pain in vanilla, oh well.

How do I see, at a glance, which of my cities have a Flip Probability > 0%? :)

Yep - I'll have a look - thanks.

I guess that could be added to the city screen. :hmm:

That would be Great! :goodjob:

You have a lot of useful information in your Program........that is the one thing I've used a lot in Dianthus' MapStat: When on a Conquest binge, I capture AI's cities without razing and like to see what the risk is of it flipping back to the previous owner......sometimes it's worth "Garrisoning" the required number of units........sometimes it's worth putting the required number of units in the city to give you a chance to "Convert" the "Resistance"......and thus substantially reduce the "Flip" chances. :)

Another request: showing Victory Point locations.

If it's easy to add, it would be helpful. If not, don't waste your time. I am only requesting this because of the latest Quick Game, and it's annoying to count them all (I was going to export a map and circle the VPs I know of).

I get this error when trying to load this save.... It comes up when I try to load the save attached to this email. It's a 4-man multiplayer. No need to know the passwords since it comes up when the password dialogue comes up. I can PM the passwords if you need them. Scroll up to the administrator. It says
An unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, the application will be shut down immediately.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just in time (JIT) debugging, the config file for this
application or machine (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the machine
rather than being handled by this dialog.

yes... Every time I try to load it as an administrator. The civs will work fine. But since I'd like to see them all without having to reload it, I'm trying to load it as an admin.

I downloaded the most recent version on post #1 to make sure it just wasn't my version.

One thing I have found that I've never bothered to comment about before - I can't access the on-line help. I thought at first that it was just a holding page until the help was available and by the time I realised it wasn't had found out how to do most things already.

When I click on the link for the help, a window opens and I get a brief flash of a page with the text "CivAssist II Online Help" and a Test button before the window closes. I tried to be quick enough with the mouse to click the Test button, but either it didn't do anything or I was not really quick enough.

I do have firewall/add blocker, but turning them off still didn't allow it to work. It does the same thing in both IE and Opera. I use Windows ME.
