CivAssist II

CivAssist II 30-Oct-2016

Good Point!..........I must confess, the thought never crossed my mind (and I saw you were from Germany!).............My Bad! :blush:

BTW, sometimes CAII will come up and then minimize automatically after about a second.........But, if you can get a mouse left-click on the CAII screen during that second, the problem usually goes away! :)

Hi EMan!
Is there any tool that allows higher cost-values for units/buildings in the editor. The current limit is 1000 shields, as I remember. The same question for game-turns: Is there a way to have more than thousand turns? These things always stopped my modding appetite.

-offtopic off-:rolleyes:

Was scrabbling around a bit in the forums, but had no luck so far. That's why I asked you. Since I play with CivAssist2, I'm more interested in vanilla too. Things make more sense now, looking now for some articles regarding game-mechanics.:)

How do I interpret Spains fur info under the Misc tab in CA2: Furs [2] 3
I can see that 3 furs are connected. What do these numbers mean?

i try to open civ assist II and get error message "Unknown Save file version. Please ensure that your copy civ/PTW/C3C is patched to the latest version. I have 2.0.2387.37490 installed. is there an update? i cant find it ?

howdy KaptainK714,

i believe the error you are seeing is referring to the version of civ3 NOT to ca2. what version of civ3 are you running?

my version info ...
c3c = 1.22
a2 = 2.0.2387

take care,
lee

i recently move my civ3 file to another drive- thought the 1.22 updte went with it but i cant find it i'll updte my version

I guess I could update this to .Net 3. If someone wants to compile a (relatively minor) "fix list" or "update list", then I could manage a few changes.
I would love a .Net 3 version of this even without any additional fixes or updates. :goodjob:

CA2 was working this morning but now it throws the attached error. I reinstall the program, and reinstalled .net 1.1 plus Service Patch 1. Any idea what the problem is?

This has happened to me a few times. I think it's the service pack that's the problem. Try to uninstall .net 1.1 and the service pack, then re-download ONLY the .net 1.1. Let me know if that works. I'm going by memory regarding how I fixed mine.

Yes, that would be great if it was .net 3 compatible. Still dual-booting with XP so I can use this fantastic utility, but I can foresee the day when that will be hard to do as XP fails to stay up with future hardware changes.

I stumbled upon the article regarding a bad registry setting. Everything works fine now that I did a quick reg hack.

Any chance you can walk me thru this process? You can assume I have zero experience doing such a reg hack. Otherwise, I have to do it my way, which is to use the basic .net 1.1 only. Windows Update always wants to fix my outdated version however.

BTW, my "fix" does work. The .net 2.0 and 3.0 don't appear to cause a problem. It's the 1.1 update that's the culprit. I have to custom install from Windows Update so that I DON'T install the 1.1 update. Kind of a PITA.
