CivCraft is CFC's minecraft server -- a minecraft server with Civilization inspired mechanics! Strike out on your own or work with others to build amazing, beautiful cities, grand road and railways, or deep mining systems. Explore a diverse world full of rich landscape and riches!

CivCraft has a number of features exclusive to this server, such as civilization based mechanics including a technology tree.

To gain the best experience please use easy to install client mod called SpoutCraft (so easy to use just run the custom launcher!). It does not touch your existing minecraft install so your existing worlds and mods are safe.

1.1 is out! This means a couple of things.

1) Bukkit (and spout/spoutcraft) do lag behind, so we will be on 1.0 for hopefully only 24 more hours.

2) World generation has changed with two new biomes. We can keep what we have generated as is, I can delete everything other than the biomes our little villages are on and hope the generation comes out ok, or we can chalk this one up to two days of fun and just start a new world from scratch.

There are beaches, sheeps regrow wool, and walking on crops doesn't damage them, I say start from scratch :D

But really, that's mostly because I really like new worlds...

I just checked the new world 1.1, they are almost identical to what we have explored so far except for the coast line, which is now much more beachy. So all I will do is delete the existing coast lines so they can regerate with their sandy beaches. Bukkit 1.1 isn't quite ready yet, so I hope to get it up later tonight or tomorrow.

:D I really didn't feel like trashing a world after just a few days.

I'll update the server to 1.1 as soon as spoutcraft is ready (currently in testing). I'll then do the needed edits on the map which, as I said before, is mostly just deleting coastlines.

Edit: Server is down for updates. Should be back up tomorrow morning or afternoon

Seems doors are closing after I open them (or vice versa). I can't enter a building unless the door has previously been open. i.e., if I try to open a door and enter a building, I get bounced back, and the door eventually closes.

EDIT: This is a bizarre bug. When I attempt to open or close a door, it reverts to its' previous state, thus why I can't enter a building where the door is closed. However... if there is a fence gate (placed behind the door) the doors work fine. The bug seems intermittent as sometimes the door will work after I remove the fence gate, but only for awhile.

Anyway, looks like the chunks generated a little forest east of Croxis' town, with more sheep, pigs and cows. It even has a beach! :D

EDIT: Seems that when I right click the door, it works fine. It's when I left click that it glitches.

Whenever I try to log in I get outdated client, but it doesn't have an option to update when i open the launcher.

Go to options and select "Use dev build".

Went exploring to see what that town was on the edge of the map to the far west (and coast), but unfortunately, the 1.1 updates rendered it as a forest biome. :( Would've been a nice coastal town...)

I moved to Mainframe. I also found 6 diamonds on my first time mining!
