Hi

So I'm about to complete my first Civilization 6 game, and started a few online with friends. Played almost all the other Civilization game before but mainly played 1-2-5 and now 6

I have a mods for bigger maps and therefor being able to play games with more nations.
So I've started a game with 14 nations, Mighty map for 20 players, continents, default presets using King difficulty mode for every AI
Been playing with a lot of cities through the game...about 20 or 30-40 over time....

So far here is my assessment.

1) Warmonger never goes away, even a thousand year later the nation that you've stole it's capital/cities is still bugging you until the end of time.

2) Trading is sometimes unbalanced....sometimes I can buy artifacts for 100 gold a piece with one leader and for another one, he wants 300 golds per turn for 30 turns

3) Price for units is ridiculously high during the end game and I was making 300 gold per turns (about 5000 gold for the last tank) while on the other end paying for those units with faith is ridiculously low (about 1500 faith) ...I had 20 000 faith so I bought myself an unbeatable army...

4) Would be nice to have more "religion", since all the AI got their prophet before me, I was never able to go on with a religious victory....could be handled in multiple ways.... for instance, Japan did start Buddhism and I've conquered Japan....maybe since I didn't have a religion, I should have been able to take it's religion...
Or maybe have variation of a religion to adapt to the number of players.... 9-16 players ... each religion have 2 different variation...

5) The AI is not making many combat units....heck the neutral cities have sometimes more.... I've started the game and made a few town....maybe 6...then one AI started to bug me so I went on to make a bunch of combat units ...about 6-7 and with that I was just going on and on cleaning the map...I had just about no resistance..... of course the AI with 3-4 towns wasn't matching with the production of more and more cities that I've made or conquered...

6) Never understood how the battering ram worked.... well at the end I was just leaving it near the enemy cities.....sometime it felt I was doing much damage and receiving none for some units attacking the city.... It was always asking me what I wanted to do with the battering ram so I kept on having to sleep the unit .... I was even using those with my tanks....I think it was working because sometimes when I was attacking with my tank I was doing a maximum damage to the armor (tank and battering ram shouldn't fit)... but really never got the hang of it

7) Once I ran into a money issue....not sure how that happened I was conquering Japan and Brasil...what was left anyway...about 8-9 cities...I was making about 50 gold per turn at the time and ended up loosing 100 gold per turn....saying I was paying so much money for city maintenance.....since I was broke and all towns were under siege by barbarian...I went on to reload..... did the exact same thing but instead of leaving Bresil 1 town to make peace, I've conquered Bresil and I've destroyed 2 towns of those 8-9 towns....so I was now at the averaging 5 gold per turn... not much has changed beside that, (of course I've started massive production of +gold building but it never had time to finished itself) so I don't know what could have made this happened...

8) I've had time to play a bit with religion at the end for fun....was using Buddhism .....but the second unit where you have a free upgrade really needs to be different... I mean once i had about 10 Aposwhatever and didn't know who had the +75% conversion, the healing, the battling bonus etc...had to hover my mouse on the bonus....and really some of those bonuses are useless...
I also suspect the AI to cheat their religion.... I've converted 5 town 100% convert which took everything to do and 4 turns later he was back 100% to his original religion which made no sense...
Additionally, the cost per religious unit should be damper with the number of towns in the map because it would be impossible to convert most town to a single religion playing on oversize map with many many town....the cost incrementally goes up forever...

I would rather be able to purchase the unit with a specific upgrade immediately....instead of randomly having the choice between 2 bonuses that sometimes ended up being crappy

Of course, you might say that it's an addon to go over bord with the map size but this truly should have been in the game since the beginning and was in Civ 5 before...and the religious system should be design to handle lower or higher volumes of cities....

9) So I like being able to play on over size map enough room for all 25 nations and all city states....trying this feature as a single player, it was taking some time during each turns but not that much. For 14 AI in some 20 players oversize map, I never had any lag or wait time....

Where it changes is when you play multiplayer, the wait time even though we played simultaneous turns, the AI take a lot of time to play.... shouldn't it be made so that the host does the math and just send the end result? ...feels like it is trying to synchro on every single action and therefor generating wait time...

10) Sciences and Culture seem to evolve too fast toward the end game....of course you'd say that in real life, were evolving quickly...but it is to remind that the further you are in the game and the less number of years passes by per turn....
Feels like I've discovered tanks and 8 turns later the nuclear bomb... really makes no use of the combat system as units were becoming obsolete more quickly....and you seem to be racing against the clock for the science victory....which at the point i'm writing this, i'm 30 turns away from completing all 3 mars phases

1) Civ5 also had legacy warmongering hate that could last for 400 turns... At least in Civ6 a number tells you when they might stop hating you.
2) Diplo/Trade AI used to be much much worse before the last patch.
3) By "last tank" I think you mean Tank Army. Buliding Military Academies and producing Units or Merchant Republic discounts for gold purchases help.
4) Having a fixed number of Religions was there since Civ5 G&K. I'm pretty sure that you can buy Missionaries and Apostles from Japanese cities you conquered, but not improving the religion or inquisitions. Great suggestion.
5) By "neutral cities" you mean City-States. Yes they have a lot of Units and Civ6 AI is very weak at warfare (I've seen more impressive invasions in Civ5)
6) You have to "attach" it with a Unit and the Unit becomes a lot stronger against enemy Walls. And Siege Tower is bypassing enemy walls. Could be the other way around. I rarely use those
7) Maybe these 2 cities you razed were full of buildings? Or maybe on your second run you lost Units and you paid less in Unit maintenance?
8) Yes some bonuses are useless, they're the ones you use to improve the religion or send them out front to take the spells in priest fights.
Even if you convert all of their cities to your religion if AI founds a new religion then the holy city gets converted to that religion.
There's the Proselytizer promotion for Apostles (the one you mentioned) and Inquisitors that can remove a religion from a city.
9) I never played Multiplayer yet...
10) If Units become obsolete quickly there's your golden chance to kick rival butt with your technological supremacy. Also playing on longer speeds helps with the teching decisions that matter more.

1) Where do you see that number?
3) Meant Modern Armor but anything equivalent
7) Nah, I razed the weakest one and one that I didn't need....didn't lose any units...anyway I was down 140 gold...felt like a game issue...unless maybe when I made peace and that he surrendered, they slipped something that I haven't seen like 100 gold per turns but I doubt that...
- Yeah they need to make the trade room bigger on top (what you're actually trading) as you only have room for 3 items if i'm correct..

1) In the diplomacy screen click on a button where you can see the positive and negative modifiers. It's near the indicator for the relationship status (Unfriendly, Friendly, Declared Friend). You'll see a number for "Your warmongering".
3) If it was really something like 5000 gold it was probably something like Modern Armor Army instead of a singular unit. Again Military Academies help reduce production cost.
