Yeah, I'm really hoping that's just a limitation in the press build. Doesn't make sense for the largest map size to be called "Standard".

Hm, as @stealth_nsk said, I think they were pretty clear about this already, and they plan to add larger map sizes later (hence the terminology). It's a touch disappointing, I agree, but not a surprise.

We have been pretty much told it already, and it got more obvious when we got the only 10 civs per age at release. At least we also have been told they will be working on adding bigger maps to the platforms that can handle it, probably as we also get a bigger total amount of civs available with all dlc content.

It is possibly the biggest bummer for me so fr as I love playing in the biggest maps available but had a lot of time to accept that will be the case at release.
