Who are the founding members of this site?

Who are the decision makers?

Who selects moderators?

Excuse me, but is there a clique amongst the moderators of this site?

1. Thunderfall (might be others I don't know about)
2. Thunderfall (and the mods)
3. Thunderfall (other mods can suggest someone for modship though. Right Padma? ;))

Right, CT. ;)

As far as being a "clique", I would say no. Like Chieftess said, if a mod recommends someone, that person may get looked at closer. But TF makes the decision. We *do* have a private forum for discussing mod-related things, but believe me, it's not all roses and honey! I think the only thing we all agree on is that we will enforce the site rules.

Also, if you look, you will see most mods have relatively large postcounts, and/or have been around for quite a while. That means we have gotten to know each other, and the site, over time, so when TF needs a new mod, we can recommend people we think would be good. In that respect, I suppose we might be considered a clique.

I understand your concern, DoF, especially after the last 24 hrs, but on a quick check he looks okay.

Yeah ok ,i saw his post wasn't that offensive or anything. So i could be wrong.
It's just that i always get suspicious when a person post's his very first post in the site feedback forum.it's weird when a person register's on a forum just to know how the moderator's are ,rather than posting something around civ.

Paranoia is fine and good, just remember who have to really by scared of.:vampire:

The Borg??

Anyway ,it's not really paranoia. The whole thing is just suspicious.
But maybe it's just coincidence.

IMHO, there is a pretty good chance this Nick Leeson is not a 'first poster'. Maybe he simply made another cp..... :nono:

Anyways: Is it a good idea to specify some things in the forum rules? Like what is allowed and when should a moderator take action. The 'discussions' of yesterday (and last week) maybe call for such rules.

Now, in the heated debates, mods decide what is okay and what's not. Some posters feel they 'have the right' to insult certain nation leaders; some posters (and mods), usually from this nation, think this should not be allowed.

I think I have crossed wires. I did not mean to offend or undermine anyone at this site. Apologies.

Well you didn't post anything offensive ,so no need for apoligies.
Some of us only thought you was the DL (double logon) of some guy that was banned recently.
But most banned people with DL's use them just to post offensive thread's ,since you didn't do that at all there is much less reason to presumme youre a DL.

In that case ,it should be me that give's his apoligies.

Sorry too Nick,

It's a bit unusual to start posting in this thread, I think.

You nver know he could have been a lurker...
