Civilization II MGE - no Music on Win 10, any fix?

Hey guys. I managed to install and run Civ II on my win 10 computer with a few patches, and I did figure out how to display the videos. However, I'm imagining the game has music, and I can only hear the menu theme and whatever there is when you're talking with another leader. Is there any fix to make the music appear?

Unfortunately not. MGE seems hard-coded to read the music from CD-ROM, and the only patches I know of are for ToT. The closest workaround is to burn the tracks to a custom disc—I do know I could play with a no-CD patch and the game would still read whatever music CD I had in the drive.

Welcome! Yup you've basically gotta have a Civ2 CD or a CD image mounted to play the music tracks.. its one of Civ2 multiplayer Gold edition (& earlier versions) biggest remaining issue to making it truly portable on modern computers.
MP3 support was added to the Test of Time patch project so hopefully one day Civ2UIA or another MGE patch tool can do the same!
