I'm thinking of purchasing CivIII Complete from an eBay store. I'm wondering how the cd's are packaged because I want them to arrive unscaved. Are they in seperate jewel cases or are they in a paper foldout?. The stores location is in Canada and it's in the Original box, brand new.

Nevermind, I got the one in the 3cd DVD package.

I also bought Complete off of Ebay.
If I remember, it came with a cardboard fold out cawse with the CD's in plastic recesses stacked but offset from one another. The packaging was fine, but I ended up keeping the Play disk in a jewel case (or in my disk drive:) ) and stuck the install disks somewhere in the rubble of my office.

Technically, yes. In practice ...

I remember when Conquests was released, people who had Gold installed often were unable to successfully install/play Conquests. I don't recall exactly what the problem was, but I am sure it was never "fixed", as the problem had to do with the way the Gold package was built. Registry keys, or something.

You can certainly try, and you might be one of the lucky few for whom it works. Most Gold owners ended up either buying Vanilla Civ3, and then adding Conquests, or buying Complete when it came out. Or resigned themselves to not playing Conquests.

Alright, thanks Padma, I'll have Civ III Complete soon so I won't need to worry. Civ III Gold is a digital download from Direct2Drive. If Conquest works with it, it would be two less program's to install. :)

I bought C3C three years ago for only 15 euros, that would be about 250 dollars.
It's a good investment.
