My first post in here might have been sent to incorrect place, so I will try again here. Even after reading multiple crash problems in this forum, I still would like to hope that these problems can be solved.

In an attempt to solve the problem described in the first post, I have been trying tricks mentioned in the Fix-It List thread:

  • Adjusting virtual memory size.
  • Cleaning cache files.
  • Adjusted DirectX audio and video settings from DxDiag.
  • Tried to remove other background applications while running Civilization.
After more test, the game still crashes. I am not sure if this is related or not, but I managed to play bit longer when I keep the map zoom very close to units and try to avoid using zoom function. That is, I zoomed so that I can see units and buildings as very large. How ever, this still results unplayable game around 1700AC.

As to make things more complicated, I also noticed that the game will corrupt save files. I would estimate that about 10% of saves are corrupted and cannot be loaded.

Save game example was about 700kB so I was not able to attach it.

R6025 pure virtual function call is a programming error.
Huge and epic is ambitious imho considering your hardware. Do you experience the same symptom on a tiny/standard map?
Some questions:
Are you using any mods? What video settings have you tried from Civ's in-game Options? Are you forcing AA or any non-default settings in your Nvidia's 3D settings? Have you tweaked your Civ's *.ini file with the "memory saver" switch?
Have you run chkdsk and defragmented your partitions?
Windows updated? MSXML parser and Python installed by chance?
Lastly, while most of your drivers appear recent, some from the motherboard may be older; verify you've the newest recommended software there.
