Hey everyone, I'm developing a nice tool/utility which can be used to easily create mods for Civ 5.

Planned features include the creations of civs, buildings, techs, units, upgrades, religions, resources, etc etc. with a simple interface and help buttons next to each field, explaining every little thing in great detail. You will then be able to export the mod as an sql or xml file so you can then import it into modbuddy. :goodjob:

As you see, this is a very basic menu where you'll be able to create building classes:

Back when I was very new to modding civ, I spent way too much time digging through the internet looking for basic things and trying to find solutions to basic problems. So that's partly why I am developing this.
would be happy to hear everyone's thoughts and ideas on this. Would you find this useful as a modder?

http://protroid.github.io/CivilizationGenerator/Civilization.html exists as a prototype if you need a reference for your utility.

It seems good.
As does - http://www.picknmixmods.com/utilities/modbuilder/util.html for units (the Java source is on my GitHub account - fell free to use/abuse as you want)
They look great, I'll be sure to look into each of them. thanks.

New edit: I've finally decided on how the UI will look like. I think it's a pretty good choice, as you will be able to choose which tables and columns are exported, and each feature will be explained in great detail directly.

Hey, it's been a few years! Have you gotten anywhere past this, or have you abandoned the project? If you've abandoned it, any chance you can share whatever you have so the next person who tries to make a tool like this has somewhere to start from? Thanks!
