Hello all. I have a question:

Whenever I try to import pictures into the civilopedia (that is, change the picture of a unit or something) the colors come up all wrong in game. Like I imported the picture of a Navy Seal for my Seal unit, and when I go to the description in the civilopedia half the pixels were bright purple. Is there a pallette restriction for the pics in Civ3, or is there someway around this using photoshop?

er, what do you mean by this? Do you mean just edit the pic that is there already, cause that is NOT what I want to. Basically, I have REAL pictures of REAL navy seals and REAL special ops and the game is distorting their pallettes. It's going to be a sad day if I can't find a way around this

You probably already know this, but you need to make sure that the pallette of your new picture is consistent with that used by the other game’s pictures.

Sometimes I perform the same procedure: I don’t have photoshop, but in Paint Shop Pro I have to import a picture from the game, freeze the pallette based on it, then conform my new pic to that fixed pallette, instead of allowing my new pic to use its own.
