CivWillard for Brave New World

I have successfully used Civwillard with IGE and Info Addict light(Global Relations) and not once have I experienced a crash.
Although I have gotten that screen while using auto-end turn and it was not my turn yet it had just seemed to me like civwillard was waiting to load, then it popped up just fine.

I solved the issue by updating IGE :)

I'm having this problem with it:

Then when I look closely at the screen grab it says version 1; which is odd since I specifically selected version 2 and deleted version 1 from my mods. So it could be a problem on my end.

I'm using v2 as well and in my screen it says same thing as yours, I'm guessing he just didn't update the text for the title screen there.

In fact he did not, I have updated the text for correct version#

Yes, I never updated the text files for the titles... didn't want to, I felt like it was something like a tribute to Onni (the original creator).

I hear ya, I just changed the number, when you mouse over it still say's CivWillard by Onni.:)

Nice tribute but unnecessarily confusing to us old gheezers. :D Glad we cleared it up, though. Now I know the problem is with the willard and not on my side.

:lol::lol::lol:

I will accumulate some more little changes and the post a newer version so that this is also fixed.

I am also having a problem with the window size. I don't see anything in the options that let's me change the width (only the height).

I had to reinstall it, because I couldn't close the window that didn't fit on my laptop screen.

So I've tried this mod and it is really nice, however the infos you get that the players doesn't have without the mod are somewhat bothering me. MajorCiv only uses game values that are actually known. The other two (Minor and City) show stuff the player can't normally know, which is unfortunate. I don't really wanna use that.

Something that is missing in Major Civ is Declaration of Friendship, which is very important for RAs.

Can you make a versions that is a pure UI mod, where you only get the legit values that you actually see.

As far as I know, ALL the information included in CivWillard is available in game, but not centralized.

Can you give me an example of information in CivWillard that you cannot find in game? I am ALL for your point (see my thread with InfoAddict light, created for that very reason), but I don't remember info from CivWillard that violates the rule.

It appears it loaded the cheater version, despite me not selecting it, strange. Your first post version seems to work just fine. The one posted later must have been the problem.

Anyway some suggestions...

MajorCiv
New field: "Declaration of Friendship" (very important for RAs), or this could be included in Status (bright green=dof, dark green=regular friendly without it)
For policies my suggestion is: 00000/0000/000 (the additional /'s don't help reading this, you have to know the order either way)
New fields: "Total Social policies", "Total Culture", "Culture per Turn", "Tourism per Turn", "RAs Completed", "Key Technologies: Writing, Civil Services, Civalry"

MinorCiv
Remove field Protected: this information is actually not available in game, as far as I can tell
New field: "Influence to become Ally": Shows the Influence value (and Influence symbol) required to become the ally. I prefer this over hovering.

City
New field: "Ressource Demand for We love the King"
Turns till next great People would be super awesome if ghis calculated the whole way through (all cities with the current settings). So the increase of +100 is put into the calculation, including all subtypes.

Interesting... may add in the near future... on the other hand, my vision of CivWillard is that it is an excellent complement of InfoAddict or InfoAddict light, so if possible I don't want to repeat information in both mods. BUt that's me.

Declare War on a CS... ;)

Also interesting, some may think it's redundant, but interesting...

City
New field: "Ressource Demand for We love the King"

Already in. I use it all the time, it's one of my first columns...

Also interesting, a little more difficult to implement (now it's just a function call to fetch the present value of the next threshold), but will try...

The example I tried yesterday had the "Turns till next great Person" off by 1. Probably rounding. It should say 3 but was 4, then jumped to 2 after "next turn".

As for implementing... I'll give a heads up as soon as I come up with a good way to implement it.

What about the policies? I suppose I can just edit that myself, once I've figured out where to look. Never done lua, but can't be that hard. I assume the package isn't signed and can be edited.

Public domain. It's what I did in the first place, to accommodate for what I wanted, and then decided to share.

Two brains think better than one, so any help is welcome. As for lua, I learned what I know by fooling around with this mod and another (not that I am an expert or anything, learning on the go), so this is a very good excuse to learn something new.

The MajorCiv and MinorCiv windows are wider than my screen (I estimate their width to be close to or even exceeding 1600 px, which I guess is too wide for many, if not most users), making the close button is off-screen, so I can't close them lest I reload the gamesave.

Please, make the windows closeable by the Esc key (like other dialog windows in the game)! And make them narrower, too, obviously. :)

I too am having issues with the width of this window, it is much wider than the width of my screen. Thanks for your great work!

I couldn't find a setting for window width. I found for for height though..

This is the latest adaptation of the popular CivWillard mod by Onni for Brave New World. This first BNW version is mainly to make the mod work with the new expansion, but also added a few details related to the new features of the expansion. I will keep maintaining this mod in the near future.

Feel free to report issues, or make suggestions on how/what to add/improve/delete.
This is the cheat version, where can I find the normal version for BNW?
