Could someone tell me if the music for CivWin and CivDos is exactly the same - for each civ etc. I never could get CivDos music on my computer, and I wondered if it had longer cuts - in other words, more music time wise than CivWin.

I have CivNet and the music is so much better. Much more filled out themes. But alas, my computer will no longer play CivNet's music.

So I am stuck with CivWin. Those of you who have played both CivWin and CivDos please tell me if there is any difference in the music, and if so, what it is.

Thanks,

At least your computer will play the music at all. I just got the Civ Chronicles pack, and when I installed it, neither the music for Civ nor Civ II would work. The best I have is a few sound effects in Civ.

Does anyone happen to have music files for either game? I could really use them.

Try running it with DosBox perhaps?

I bought Chronicles too and there wasn't music on Civ I. It's so boring without music. ;)

I doubt very much that will work, since it's Civ for Windows, not Civ DOS.
In order to get Civ DOS sounds to work, of course. As for Civ for Windows / CivNet, I wouldn't know, never really played either. Does the settler "cheat" work on those? :mischief:
