Clothes-Making For Dummies

Hi Plotinus I've been having this problem lately using Michael 4. I don't know if the same thing would happen with Michael 3 or not but EVERY time I try the steps in your tutorial I end up with this:

attachment.php

I don't know what I'm doing wrong or why I keep getting this but every time I create a new figure it has this piece on it. I don't know whether to laugh hysterically or cry over all the time I've wasted in the Setup Room.

Would you happen to have any idea of what I'm doing wrong or why this is happening???

I completely forgot to answer this - sorry! Not that my answer is really worth waiting for, because I don't know what causes this sort of thing. It's some kind of artefact that occurs during the process of exporting and re-importing objects, but I'm not sure how to prevent it (although I haven't seen this precise version before...). The simplest thing to do is just apply an invisible texture to the offending element.

I have a question.. I'm done assigning bones, but somehow it still says there are facettes that dont have a bone assigned to them, but when I select no_bone, there are no facettes anywhere, no matter how I rotate the cothing piece O.o

and a second question, there are facettes on the inside of the clothing piece, but they are assigned in a weird way. does this matter? because its really hard to reach those facettes, and it seems near impossible to get them on the right bones..

well, as it seems, the inside facettes don't matter that much. and the only thing that happened when I just used the figure, was as it seemed one tiny facette that got left behind, wich I could delete and it probably won't show on civ scale, wich is weird still, because I should've seen it from where it is, but it wasnt there

oh and also, thanks for the tutorial :)
