CM4 competition thread

I play with Italian, Spanish, English and German leagues. Medium database

And Livorno is a medium-strenght team of Serie B at the beginning of the game. Gaining promotion the first year was really difficult (in fact, I accomplished it the last match of the season (Livono - Ancona: if I won or tied I'have gone to Serie A, if I lost then Ancona would have gone to Serie A. What happened? 30' 0:1; 89' 1:1 (!!!) )

About Barcelona B.......wonderful Geovanni!!! I bought him paying nothing and he scored more than 40 goals in Serie B!

The first season Geovanni is loaned to some other team. And now he ain't that good, you can have him if you want :p I favor Bak Jensen (bought from Heerenveen for 1.3 million, just for Barca B) on that position.

btw, Mido just scored 17 goals in 7 league games :S ain't that something. The problem though, is that I can only have 4 non-EU players. Riquelme and Chivu are sure of their place, and so are Sorin and Saviola normally. If Saviola doesn't play it's Mido on that position, but he can't even come to matches if the other 4 play. Same goes for Rochemback. And then I almost added Maxwell and Trabelsi :o I realised it just in time. Now both went to $^%#$# Betis, my #1 enemy (yes, they're even stronger than Real and won last years UEFA-Cup edition....I played them both in the ESC and Spanish Supercup). I could get Maxwell though, if I'd sell Sorin.

btw, Xavi rules!

Probably Geovanni is one of the players that change from game to game. In my game he's become a world class player. What luck to have him playing for Livorno.

In my game Betis and Celta Vigo are quite strong, due to their almost infinite money. They buy a lot of superstars every season, but in Champions League and UEFA Cup always lose to Italian teams, which instead have much less money in CM4

Yeah. Although Celta sucked in my first Spanish season. About those players, there's quite a lot of them. Pretty realistic though, in real life there are lots of talents of whom you don't know how they'll turn out. They can have the potential, but who knows how they'll develop, if the potential is big enough, if they're guys that florish early or late....you never know.

In your games, which players for Man United develop from the youth team? Keiran Richardson has really made an impact for me and and few others are beginning to play abit more and it would be interesting to see if they stay at Man U and develop in your games as well.

The other two who are beginning to shine are Bojan Djorkic and Hussaine, with CHadwick and O Shea as the more obvious youth players.

I'll check tonight. It won't be a lot though, since it's not an active league in my game. Imma start a game as Arsenal one of these days (summerdays that is :p) so I can give you the results of that 'investigation' then

Freddy Adu is really good if you can get hold of him its hard in England due to the work permits he looks rubbish but i tried him out in a league cup match and he seemed do quite well also for man utd i have found Daniel Nareldel sp? do quite well

in the english leagues there isnt a max non eu players but they have to get a work permit which can be a problem if the transfer window closes

I think every other major Euro Country has a non EU player limit except for England which uses work permits...

Italy hasn't any limit

BTW, in my game Coventry has a lot of skilled young players

I thought that there was a new rule in Italy, that you can't buy non-EU players except when they're already playing in Italy... but I don't know if that's implemented in the game.

next year, in real life, only 3 non-EU players per squad are allowed in Spanish teams. Seems to me Barca has some trouble...they better let some of their Argentinian players (Saviola, Sorin, Riquelme...Bonano has Italian nationality as a second) get a second nationality.
