Compared with Ep3 which is suprisingly the last patch...

Sure. But (as I mentioned before) I didn't get to install any patch. I especially liked the feature that games are rescheduled when there are international games on the agenda... but that was even fixed in EP 2 I believe.
I was looking for my 'reputation': where can I find that?

Oh, I read that the game was harder compared to no EP, especially with 'Gung ho' tactics and such. Could someone elaborate on that? I'd like to win the champions league again this season...

I'm not sure. If you read the end of page 3 and then page 4 there is a bit about how you can change your reputation but you need to have Ep3 installed and not Ep4. Then you can download a program and manually alter your reputation. Ep4 now allows your reputation to change but it doesn't take into account your previous achievements. Oh and you can check other manager's reputations so that you can then decide what your reputation should be.

Well, I'm too lazy to change my reputation manually, I'll just have to raise it through winning a lot.
How about tactics? Did you change your tactics when you 'patched up'? I'm currently using a 4-4-2 tactic with wingers on the midfield, with the two MC's and the defence line set to attacking and the rest to Gung ho. Which, apparently, works

Really? I'm still sticking with my usual 4-1-2-2-1 and I have them all on normal as usually if I have a team that plays attacking, they end up losing and not scoring very often.

Strange enough it works great against the top teams but when I'm letting my 'second team' play a friendy against an amateur team it doesn't work at all.
I've tried a more defensive line up with a DMC but somehow that doesn't make my team more defensive. I might look at the 'normal' setting and the wingers set to 'attacking' (so 1 step back in aggressivity).
Oh, one of my strikers has a 'free role', which works great combined with 'always closing down'. I'm toying with the other striker on 'free role' as well. I've tried that for 1 cupmatch (cup, v.s. AZ, another league club) and I won with 8-0 (!) (this is with EP4), but when I think about it it's probably better to keep 1 striker in the penalty box.

I did notice that stand off and no offside trap works better for my defence, but that's with 4.0.1.

oh a good DMC can make the difference. For example Xavi, put him on the DMC spot and you only need 3 defenders. You can play a 3-5-2 (sweeper or not) with wingers on the midfield (arrows, settings to allow running with ball, forward runs and crossings), a DMC (f.e. Xavi) and maybe two AMC. Or play the 3-3-0-3-1 formation: 3 defenders, 3 DM's, 3AM's and a striker. Nice one too.

I think I've used 3-3-0-3-1 before. 3 attacking midfielders, 3 defensive midfielders and then 3 central defenders plus one striker.

exactly, I even think I got it from you...the basics then ofcourse....I added my arrows and instructions myself.
