Just to give some people a heads up, a few days ago Google announced their recently launched "Project Hosting" service. It allows for free SVN hosting and issue tracking, and in-browser repository viewing with a pretty clean interface. I believe there's a 100 MB limit on code, but I'm not sure about the policy yet on other things (such as model files). You're probably not going to be looking at BLAZING fast speeds, so you're probably going to want to use this just for the code anyway. Might be useful for people looking for a versioning system.

Edit: Also, anothe thing is that it makes you select an open-source licence, and not being one to know anything about licensing and such, I don't know how that all pans out.
