gpas, CP weighted (the only 1 that matters right?)

sophmore semester 1: 4.0
sophmore semester 2: 4.21
jr semester 1: 4.5
jr semester 2: 4.8

these arnt exact figures but cp avges out to 4.36 on my transcript

AP tests:

AP USH: 5
AP BIO: 4
AP EURO: 4

yea i only got 3 but im workin on it

SATIIs:
Biology: 720
AP US: 740

Overall satIs
math 690
writing 640
reading 710 equals overall score of 2040 but im takin again this october

current sr yr schedule:

A) intro to business
1) TA
2) AP gov
3) AP econ
4) study hall (i dropped a bad class that i didnt feel intrested)
5) 3d art (i gotta get art credits, GRR!!)
6) AP english

EDIT: Im also taking math 192 (calc) online at a community college

yea i sorta slacked off compared to other years but i heard it dont matter much

my ECs include being treasurer of the communist club and then prez this yr, 4 years of doin wrestling JV, about 50 hrs of volunteer work, and bein politically involvd

aight, so since i'm in Cali it is wise for me to go to like the UC system or CSU but i wanna keep my options open, so far I think i will apply to

1) UC Berkley
2) UC LA
3) Stanford

however i wanna know like the good schools in east coast that will take me, i will never go apply to yale and harvart cuz its too elitist

....treasurer of the communist club....
I wouldn't suggest applying to Patrick Henry, then.

I assume you're looking for a rather liberal college? Where do you want to go, in state or out of state? That would help.

Two questions: what are you interested in studying, and did you take the ACT's?
im interested in politics and MEBE teaching but i know teachers dont make much $$$ under our lame capitalist sytem

no i didnt take the ACT cuz i was told by councillors i didun need too.. should I have?

First of all forget about Stanford. Berkeley will be difficult too but UC does favor california residents. Pick a few safety schools too.

I don't know... I took the ACT but not the SAT yet, since many of my states schools just require ACT scores. I don't know how it is is California though.

I'd just apply to the better state schools in California.

yeah... im kinda reluctant to going to the south ... cuz i actually wanna come home alive lol, sry.

I figured if you truly enjoyed open thought, it would be good for you to expand your horizons and step outside your comfort zone.

If you're a minority, especially black, mexican, or native american, you might be able to shoot a little higher

If you want to get into Berkeley you should start by learning how to spell their name right first. Although, to be fair, some UC letterhead I got had "Berkley" on it. That was good for a laugh, in a depressing way.

My advice is to take advantage of the UC system since you're a resident, they're all great schools and you get priority and cheaper tuition by being a resident. If you choose Stanford or USC I will smack you with a shovel.

whats wrong with stanford/usc?

Did you take a look at my avatar and/or location?

Honestly, Stanford is a good school, one of my best friends goes there. But USC is not worth the extravagent price tag, you can go to a better UC for much less.
