Ultimately it is like calling the several separatist republics throughout Brazil actual republics.
I mean, they're very interesting to work and try to make civs of them, right now I'm working on a Juliane-Riograndense Republic civ, but it'd be very hard to make it based around them.
And I just want to point out that recent studies that were made by people that aren't from the political left wing here in Brazil (very few) actually showed it in a rather negative light and not something amazing and wonderful. Conditions were basically a mix between the Senzala (where the slaves slept, eat, and took a dump) and Shaka Zulu's tribes.

Judging from the hints we have to guess what this mystery civ ISN'T. So, is it perhaps the Kingdom of Cusco? A self-sufficient state, which is NOT YET the Inka Empire
Also, it has to do something with colonialism, and what the Inkas of Cusco did to their neighbours is what I'd call colonization

I actually did edit it. Three times (once per [Redacted] and once to add that final message), but it happened so quickly that the forum didn't bother time-stamping it (you have a brief window for unmarked edits).

I believe the window is 30 seconds to a minute. You can make insta-edits within that window and it will appear that you never edited it. Comes in handy when I make stupied (left that in intentionally to give you some idea) typing mistakes.
