War erupts between Spain and Portugal. This was the result of continued Portugese voilations of the border. Spanish forces had to crack down on Portugese forces deep into Spanish territory.
Relations in Italy deteriorates as the war between Venice and the Habsburg continues. Spanish forces saw action against forces from Milan and Venice. Spain have only attacked enemies within Spanish territory, and does not want to attack enemy cities. Tuscany and Genoahave been put under diplomatic pressure to remain neutral. Spain does not want the conflict to escalate further.
A fleet leaving the port of Nice have been sunk. This was done in response to allegations of piracy originating from that city. Spain welcomes any French intervention in the area, since this will further stabilise the region.
Reports of numerous attacks against Spaish settlements in the new world. It seems our colonies is surviving, but the cost to replace the lost garrisons is rising daily.
