Colonies IV MP beta test

In a strange movement, the Spanish King rejected to start a war this summer in Portugal. However, it is said that the next year will be different.

Lost one unit in America, but Spain stills conserve all her colonies.

The file:

The war in Germany has been quite this month, the only hostile actions apart from the sinking of a Danish Galley in the baltic where some sporadic skirmishes between imperials and Swedes.
It is believed that the Chancelor of Sweden has ordered the creation of several regiments of sappers for the seige of the remaining Imperial strongholds in the north...

Hey John, I noticed that the style of some of the flags differed some (and that the style for england, sweden and austria looked very similar to that of the flags in eu2 (which I have now, finally gotten my hands on :D)).

So I took the liberty of trying to make similar versions of the other flags (Spain, France and Netherlands) working from the graphics in my eu2 folder.

Here is the result, I hope you like it. If so feel free to use it :)

Glad you liked them :) You'll had to add the pixels that controls the text/shield colour yourself though (I didn't do that untill I took the screenshot myself) but I don't think that'll be a problem for you ;)

How are you liking EU2?

It took a while to get used to, and I still think there are stuff I haven't discovered/mastered yet. But right now I am really liking it :)

My first game (which I didn't finnish) was the grand campaign as portugal, then I played all the way through as France and I am currently playing a game as Sweden ;)

I gather the Swedish game is quite "helpful" to Sweden, as the developers are all Swedish themseleves....;)

Playing as the English is too easy as well, once you have mastered the game - but playing as a Minor (like Portugal or Denmark) can be really fun...

Yeah I found France to be a bit too easy as well, I think most major civs are. Mostly becouse, much like in civ, the other AI's aren't really that great ;)

The hundred years war and the early parts where loads of fun anyway imho :) (though I suppose it wouldn't be as much fun when you play it the hundreth time ;))

As for Sweden, I've learnt from the paradox forums that Sweden is indeed a bit overpowered . I don't mind that when playing my third game though ;)

How are the non european country's? I notice China is among the preselectable nations in several of the campaigns...

Right now I am trying to figure out how to use (if I can use them on my platform) the large mods for Eu2 that are out there. Most of them, it seems, simply adds more events though I notice there are some total conversion ones around too.

Never played China - or any of the mods. I'm still playing Minors like the Teutonic Knights or Lenape, and having tons of fun. You are right - the replayability is not that high for any one Civ, and the Age of Exporation, Age of Reason and Grand Campaigns are very similar.

However, as an alternative to Civ it is very good - after over a year I still dip in from time to time and if I designed mods would do so a lot more. MP would be very interesting, although the real-time nature could make things quite frantic. When I play SP, I am usually in 1minute=4months, and the pause key is on half the time!

And again my apologizes but I REALLY needed sleep last night! :o

Here it is, I must have forgotten CTRL-N last turn I had ships and units ALL over.
