Combined Civilization's Mods and Tweaks (CCMAT)

For those interested, I created a chatroom to discuss Civ V Modding in general, as well as a place to get faster feedback from Modders when they are online:

http://www.meebo.com/room/civmod/
password is fanatic

You do need to create a meebo account(or possibly use AIM, MSN, etc) to get in.

Don't know if anyone's still working on this, but I'm having a wierd issue with CCMAT II V2 where tiles around my capital, and any other capitals I've conquered (puppeted) are losing improvements, I just lost two manufactories. I'm not sure whether it's happening on load, or during play yet.

Also, a little lower on the priority list, I'm getting the "a tile has been claimed, but cannot be used" notification on load, for every tile that hase been claimed this way.... que 5 minutes of clicking to get rid of the notifications, a bit frustrating.

any ideas?

[edit] Just reloaded a game from 4 turns ago, they're still there, will attempt to duplicate what happened. I should mention, it's all the tiles DIRECTLY surround any capital or ex-capital I own. The AI capitals don't seem to have the problem.

[edit again] Just had it happen to a CS (singapore), it lost the sugar it was gifting to me, and all improvements around it disappeared. It's not some kind of random event is it? - they are turned on.

Hi guys!

I realize now that this project is dead in the water, but I'd just like to point out that you can make this work if you read through the last few pages of the thread. The biggest thing with this is that it's 27 pages and no human wants to read all that when you're dying to play the game and are stuck!

I use win 7, 64 bit.

I just recently bought the latest version of the game, already patched and with all the extra content available at the time (Civ 5 Game of the Year edition)

I played the game like crazy, wanted to tweak, couldn't get mod buddy to work because of the Microsoft file I have to install to make it work, and decided to try the mods just to see.

I found this one, and the tweaks are cool enough, but I had the issue everyone else had as well. The unit buttons in lower left are off-kilter (They actually are there but as someone else described they are not usable as they sit below the unit picture window,)

There are two issues: Units updating, and hotkeys.

For nearly every unit action there is a hotkey... nearly... Great people have all those fun things they can do... but no HOTKEYS!

However, our good friend Exfinite on the previous page provided a solution that worked for me. (post 514, page 26) However, his solution was for only one of the great people, the scientist. We still have artists, engineers, etc. Looking through the same file he mentions it's not hard to figure out where the codes are for the rest of the great people's special actions. (Hurry production, culture bomb, etc.) Simply follow his instructions using an Xml editor (There is one listed in the Xml page being discussed, I downloaded a trial version of it and it worked fine) and you'll be fine. You'll have hotkeys established for your great people!

The issue with your units getting their experience is just annoying, it's not actually an issue. Instead of the unit updating at the beginning of it's turn it updates at the end of it's MOVEMENT. If the unit fires or engaged in combat and can not move it will not offer you the chance to upgrade it's experience level. You'll just have to live with this.

Once your unit moves, click it again, and you'll get the normal pop-up thingy that lets you upgrade him.

I could not get the other workaround that claims to fix the displaced unit action box to work. Our other good friend danimal1306 posted a link to another post on the previous page as well (Post 518) I tried several times to edit the file discussed in this post: http://forums.civfanatics.com/showpost.php?p=10116895&postcount=721 but that just didn't work for me.

I just wanted to post this in case any other late arrived n00bz like myself had any issues with this.

The workarounds do work, but you have to get used to using hotkeys, and you have to be able to add the hotkeys to that Xml file discussed above.

Thanks to all who work on this stuff!

Edit: Yeah, ok... so another glitch or whatever. My issue was that I had a great engineer just sitting there unable to do his hurry production thing. Using the Xml I got the hotkey workaround going and was able to hurry the hagia sofia which, as you might be aware, generates a random great person of your choice.

Yeah, it doesn't work. No window pops up. The game won't end the turn either because the mini-map is stuck in "choose your great person" mode, but no matter how many thousands of time you click the button the window doesn't come up.

I'm disappointed.

It seems that I have run into a bug. Perhaps this is the way you planned it though. I would like to automate my workers but cannot find the buttons on my left side of my screen to do so. Furthermore, I can not seem to upgrade my troops when they receive a promotion. I am not given an option.

As a disclaimer, this is my second day playing Civ V so I do not know hot keys and perhaps need to just keep on trying to find these buttons. I do find them easily though when I am playing Vanilla version though.

Opps I did not see Jagged1971 reply before I posted. See ^ comment for answers on my questions.

Please re-upload the file or upload the file on another site. I used this mod in the past and loved it but I had to wipe my computer and now I can't download it since the current link is missing.

Can anyone who has this mod re-upload it? It looks amazing but the links are dead.
