Hi, this has been a little side project of mine for the last couple of weeks. Its going to be a fairly large mod/scenario, but so far much simpler than my other mod, American Civil War.

The mod will encompass Europe during renaissance, shorty after the 100 years war, the fall of Constantinople, and during many other epic wars. Some of the unions and leaders are slightly ahistorical, if you see any major flaws please let me know, I'll be glad to fix them.

Minor States: Mostly covering the area between Hungary, Crimea, and the Ottomans. This includes part of Transylvania, and Walacia.

Interesting idea... Nice to see Hungary made it in your mod. Well, I think if we talk about this period it should be definatly in... I am about to make a new version of the Hungary mod. Maybe I could help you a bit with Hungary? I already spend some work to correct esnaz Corvinus LH (I am thinking about the hair). I had partially success, I only would have to work on how it looks during the animation, not sure if it's possible. Anyway, tell me if I can help you, I'll see if I can do something for you. I could also help you with some german state if you plan to put them in.

Right on, that sounds good. I haven't even seen the corvinus LH, I've just been using some of Amra's and some default ones. I would like to have more nations, but I'm afraid that most people wouldn't be able to play it then. Its already quite a large map (100x73), pretty much full with the 35 countries, many many cities, units, buildings, ect...

Honestly if your not pushing 3ghz processor, 2GB ram, and a good video card, you probably wont be able to play very quickly. Put it this way, I have dual pentium 4's (2.8ghz each and optimized), 2 GB ram, and a nvidia 8600gt pcie 16x, and it slows me down a little.

its getting closer, almost all the diplomacy and war settings are done. Cities and defensive armies are all placed. Most technology stuff is done.

What I'm going to do is slow down the technology rate a bunch, so you get much longer era's. It'll start around 1470ish, and will progress through the ages, pretty much like a normal game, besides a few things.

well I worked on this quite a bit over the weekend, and am happy to report that I'll be needing beta testers by next weekend (I'm doing all the alpha testing to get it at least close to where it should be).

This would include anyone with any knowledge of this time period (late 15th century europe; begins in 1470ad), good civers, or just anyone thats up for it.

I haven't changed any technologies but have drastically changed the tech rate and other speed infos, set the calendar to months, and have been strategically balancing the economies of the various factions. An average nation takes about 5-7 years (60-84 turns) to research most techs, playing on noble/epic. Though constructing buildings, and especially units occurs much faster.

Most the stuff changed was just leaders/civs and some mostly basic XML changes, along with the 40civ dll, and a top 24 scoreboard to adjust for having 35 players.

Despite being a really huge map, and 35 players, it still runs fairly smooth for me, but I'm sure some people with more modest systems may have slow turn times or other problems.

yea sure, that would be cool. I'm a fan of some of your mods, and am hoping to implement your route restricter to work with the civil war mod here soon.

I suppose we could just have 1 big mod, and then include some various scenario's to go along with it. I hope most of our mod ideas go together, such as how I mentioned I slowed down tech rate quite a bit... actually its 5X longer than the vanilla settings. But other stuff like the huger than huge map and tech trading is forced on, ect, make up for it.

what I have done so far, kinda resembles what MaxRiga has done with his mod, except for a few things, and obviously its renaissance times instead of 20th/21st century.

I'll check out your mod, and PM you sometime soon.

yes, I believe thats who Charles II from Sweden refers to, not sure why he was known as multiple names, those aren't the only 2.

it starts in 1470. Like I said in original post, some of the leaders/factions may be slightly off, or perhaps misnamed, I'll gladly fix mistakes anyone finds.
