Community Patch for BNW

I did an update, and the same thing happens - loading game saves isn't working.

Checked it again and yeah, loading game saves doesn't work unless it's save game initial. I only checked it on an Initial one when I tried to load it again which is why I momentarily thought loading save games works.

The save games were made in v24 CSD CP v1 and loaded in a config which was exactly the same.

Also the Well icon is replaced by a red X.
 
Are you unable to load saved games period, or just saved games from sessions started prior to the new patch I just put out? The new versions of DLL-based mods, almost invariably, are not savegame-compatible.

After deleting cache, I started a new game with the new patch, saved it, loaded it, and crashed to desktop.
 
Okay, I think I've found the culprit, we'll see. I got it to crash as you are experiencing- debug led me to a read/write error, which means a value isn't getting hashed correctly. I found a typo (owed v. owned) which wasn't detected due to both being used. I'll test now.

Okay, I've fixed the savegame issue. It should work now! That's what I get for doing write/read entries while sleepy.

Well it does work for me now, but the belief changes and new buildings do not work. I removed the "_" in front of test files and art, but no change. I went through the option, but there seems to be no option to enable them (it is required in the case of beliefs, and it has a value of 1, and in case of buildings I see nothing).

Try it again - clear your cache, etc., re-download. I recompiled it and re-uploaded it, testing to see if those things work (they do).

had 2 full games, albeit one was on an island alone... no one DOW'd me in both games, over 900 turns of standard turns. the 2nd game was especially concerning starting on a rather cramped island with the aztecs and assryians. assryia was plotting against me when we took freedom to their order; but it never turned into war. i eventually took matters into my own hands and was able to convince him to DOW literally 5 of the remaining 6 civs, and then i joined in and took assur. playing a 3rd game in between the world cup and stanley cup tonight.

Surprisingly low violence. Were you highly militarized? Antagonistic? I'll continue tweaking.

Quick question is this mod compatible with the cctp v 4.04 mod

Edit: It works but i had to disable all the diplomacy mods except the diplomacy features mod v10 all the other ones including csd v23 and 24 are not compatible for some reason.
 
Try it again - clear your cache, etc., re-download. I recompiled it and re-uploaded it, testing to see if those things work (they do).

I think it's time for a thread to be created for troubleshooting and installation issues. This thread should really be about overall planning and possibilities of the mod and it is beginning to get swamped by back-and-forth about issues people are having with it.

(I know how annoying it is to have someone say "don't talk about this here, go somewhere else", since people said the same thing about things I was discussing, but this time I really do think this warrants a new thread)

I couldn't agree more.

Setup a 'stickied' sub-thread with the installation instructions and possibly any extra logging options we might add, along with specific instructions on how to enable them.
Then any issues will be placed in the best place for resolution to be found.
I would put good money on this being implemented after the initial 'release' is, well, released.

Version 1 isn't actually out yet and this forum is still in it's infancy so good suggestions like this are needed.

So I finally got everything to work. My solution was to install all mods except for Community Patch, turn on civ, go through mod selection, quit the game, clear cache, and install CP afterwards. It magically solved the issues with buildings.

Still, I played a bit of hotseat yesterday and the AI deals seem to be enabled even though the option is set to 0. I got a deal from rome: open boarders, 1 luxury, all his strategics and 2 gpt for my own open boarders. He didn't even need them. Also deals when an AI is giving a player 2 luxuries and all his strategics for a single luxury happen all the time. This is all with MOD_BALANCE_CORE_DEALS set to 0. AI_SMART_DEALS in Whowards borg options are also set to 0.
 
This looks very promising. I got it too load up with the core mods you suggested to start with. Now to add more. Will the maps work from Communitas work here yet?

If you mean the Communitas map script then yeah, it works fine for me.

The same deal with Tectonics and Perfect World. All of them work as they should.

Well, I still have the same problem so... I'm not sure.

Now I did something like this. After clearing everything, I downloaded the latest CSD and I activated only 2 mods - mainly Combined DLL plus CSD - NO Community Patch, and guess what, saves seem to be working, but I can't choose production again.
 
@darko, try deleting your mod user data (MUD) folder in addition to the cache folder, if you haven't already. Also, check everything in the Common Checklist link in my sig below. Hope it helps!:)

I will try that, thanks. Currently, I have activated ONLY CSD, nothing else, and it's the same problem, but I will let you know.

OK, I deleted the whole "my games" folder, put only CSD into MODs folder, started a new game, checked CSD - and I still can't choose production in the city.

The same thing happens when I only check Diplomatic Features, but instead of city screen (as in the case of CSD), diplomatic screens get broken. NO other mods at all.

I will try to reinstall CIV and clean registry. Maybe that will help.
