Community Patch - How To Install

Please add an option to play random music in Civ. The music changer mod from workshop doesn't work. I am tired of listening to the same music for hours. It is one of the most necessary features in Civ 5. Please add it.

Umm, just tried it, the Music Changer mod is working.

Only from the civilization art's soundtrack. I believe Hillclimber is asking for music to be played regardless of your civilization art style(so hearing Asian music while playing Venice or Iroquois and the likes)

After installing it through that .exe provided, I went in my game and to the mods tab and I can't enable the community patch mod.

The error is : This version of the game is not compatible with this mod.

I have these the latest patch 1.03.18

And I have these DLCs :

I installed the latest version of this mod. One odd thing: The 'battle predictor' (I don't know what it's actually called, the thing that tells you your odds of winning a battle and how much you'll lose) isn't there anymore. Is that intentional? Is there a way to re-enable it? Thanks!

I posted a request for assistance on Friday, and I still need some help:

I haven't been able to use the auto installation recently. Is there anything in my system that is blocking the installation. The patch completes but no files are installed and I get no error message.

Manual installation is a pain as I can't get it to work this time. I can't open the diplomacy circle by clicking on the diplomacy icon (f4 does works), and no dialogue lines appear when I try to chat with the AI. I get error messages that (6a) Community Balance Overhaul - Compatibility Files (EUI) file name is too long (not sure if file is extracted in full).
I'm also not sure what do I do with this UI_bc1 file.). If I can figure out what to do with this file, manual installation might work.

Please help as I've spent hours trying to get this to work.

I think you have to disable your antiviral/firewall software on the file to enable it unpack appropriate files in appropriate places. UI_sth file is EUI. You have to place it in your game folder not in mods if you want to play with that mod if not - simply delete it (or choose version without EUI).

Thanks! It was my Comodo firewall that was blocking the it for some reason. I turned it off during download/installation and made an exception in its setting as well to be extra sure, so it got installed no problem.

The EUI link on first page doesn't work and needs to be fixed, this is the new link:
https://forums.civfanatics.com/resources/civ5-enhanced-user-interface.24303/

Now what version of EUI does this mod pack use? Can I use this new version of EUI, v1.29beta3?

I assume if I use the new EUI, I don't install EUI_text_en_us.xml that comes with it, because (6a) Community Balance Overhaul - Compatibility Files (EUI) has that file in it already?

OK, after reading some of the discussion over on the EUI area, the beta version isn't working right. So a lot of people are reverting back to the one that works and everyone uses, v1.28g

Was an answer ever provided for this problem?

He has an UI problem. Either he doesn't have all the DLC or he's not using the installer because one of the UI is conflicting over each other and having errors.

I am experiencing the same problem. I have all of the DLCs and I used the Automatic Installer to apply this mod. What should I do now to resolve the UI conflict?

By the way, I had played Civ V a while back and found the Vox Populi mod, among many others, before taking a long break. Now that I'm back, I'm playing catch up on all of the recent developments.

That said, I'm not a fan of the Pathfinder unit -- only because I was already using another mod (JFD's Exploration Continued Expanded) that provided an upgrade path for Scouts, among many other things. Is the Pathfinder unit supposed to earn XP for revealing unexplored tiles? (It appears to be in the code for recon units, but it's not happening in-game.)

There were other issues that had come about with the mod update, that I couldn't fix, so I figured it was time to use the nuclear option. I unsubscribed (Steam Workshop) from all mods and deleted the Civ V MODS folder. I reinstalled the Vox Populi mod (via the Automatic Installer) and resubscribed to half of my prior mods. Fortunately, my UI is working properly now, and it looks like all is in order -- though I am still evaluating the Pathfinder unit.
