Comp specs?

Im looking at some new computers and im wondering what processors / video card would be the best to run Civ 4. Im looking at an AMD Athlon 3500 2.2Ghz with an ATI radeon Express 200, 1GB ram, 200 GB hard drive. Im not the best with computers so do you guys know if this will run the game very well or average.

I have the vid card you're looking at... I'll let you know how it does in two days when I get the game.

The card does take away from the Ram on your computer (it's shared) but with a gig you should be fine.

I'd recommend going with a video card without shared ram. Also I'd recommend nVidia over ATI. ATI makes great cards but their drivers for the most part suck. They've gotten better but you'll have fewer issues with an nVidia card
