The sound of the Slaver in Call to Power 2 saying..'Whos next' with a whip sound after he says that...I still get a warm glow hearing it..'Whos next".....

Ah the hours lost to that game...

CTP was one of the "civ games" that I played the most.
The civ game that I have played the most (besides CTP) must be Civ II: Test of Time (the one with the layers). Although I have (somewhere) all the civ games and all the expansions. Ok I need a life I know.

CTP2 is the best game ever in the Civ series. Tech tree was limitless, there were lots of Civs to choose from (even Israel was one!) and the military campaigns were awesome because of the ability to create 12-unit military forces with specialized roles. Procylon made a great mod for Civ V but it's still missing the military aspect and slavers of CTP2.

I'll see your slavers and raise you NERVE STAPLING. So awesome.

I miss so much about SMAC....

Punishment spheres for defeated leaders. Planet busting Miriam's ghastly orange empire into an attractive inland lake. Chairman Yang. Genejack factories. NERVE STAPLING.

"It is every citizen's final duty to go into the tanks, and become one with all the people"

"What do I care for your suffering? Pain, even agony, is no more than information before the senses, data fed to the computer of the mind"

"Please don't go. The drones need you. They look up to you"

CTP was a lot of fun back in the day. :D

I also loved Civ II: Test of Time. Truly a classic.

Call to power 2 had cities on space and underwater...but the best concept of that game was the sp (I guess that on english was ps, public services, mine copy was portuguese). With sp you could build roads, farms etc. For me worked very well.

Also the game was very complex, from the huge tech tree to the diplomacy that actually made sense (take that ciV).

Finally, Brazil was playable \o/

I believe it was PW, "Public Works" in English. Yeah, the system was elegant I think. :)

Me too! My brother and I were talking about that game the other night. He asked me if I still had it. I told him no, that I wish I did. It is not easy to find either.
