Computer Cheats

I already knew the computer cheated on advanced difficulty levels but this I didn't know:

I was just messing around so, using cheat-mode, I edited human player to none and watched the computer go at it. I was surprised to see that in some cases, some how, the computer was able to go into NEGATIVE tax rates, science rates, or luxury rates (it only did it for a few turns at a time) in order to go beyond the normal threshhold in other areas . Have you guys ever noticed this or did I just experience a one time glitch. (I was the Germans led by Freddy if that helps)

Thats just ridiculous! I have never seen that before but it just shows that the AI seems to be able to break every rule and still lose.

I haven't heard of this before but I wouldn't be surprised. This would be almost standard fare as far as AI cheating is concerned. I think there's a very long thread on AI stupidities and cheats somewhere. Try reading that for a better idea on how the game AI "cheats".
