the game ;
I am playing civ 5 in direct X 11
I am playing the vanilla game so no mods

Can you run it :
Congratulations, your system passes the Recommended requirements! You should have a great experience running this product.

I pasted withouth a problem
So I can easy run this came I pasted the requirements

This is the problem :

Ok so I recently got a new game computer(no laptob) because My laptob couldn't handle high games .
However my labtob could play civ 5 on low graphics with some long waiting time.

So I know have a computer which can handle pretty much every game I never had problems with all my games except civ 5 gods and kings

When I am playing civ 5 my computer suddenly shuts down after a few hours or sometimes even after 30 minutes.
I first thought my computer could only handle a few hours of civ 5 but after I restarted my game it suddenly shut down...
SO i tried again and it played great for 4 hours after that it crashed again?

I disableds the game core to run in a separate thread because at my previous computer i've had problems with speed and crashes after the fall patch. Should I turn it back on?

Its a little bit wierd that I can paly gta 4 withouth problems but civ 5 causes problems ?
Is this a crash or a problem with my computer? IF it is a crash where can I find the files which I have to post here for help?

After a crash, check in the windows eventviewer (control panel, system and security, administrative tools, event viewer/event log), you could find information on what caused the crash there. Also, dxdiag is useful as usual.

I can't seem to post the logbook file so here is the info which i can find on my pc have no idea what it means :

EventData

there is the XML info

Are not more errors visible in the event viewer?
No idea what htis one says :dunno:.

Enabling game core threading could maybe change some things. Normally that should only have been a problem on single cores, and since this machine has more than one, I'd say yes, worth a try.

The whole thing could also be a heat issue. Are you sure that all the fans are running in the machine? Can you change anything in regards to fan speed in your graphics cards options?

J ust got it new so i asume it has How do you do that i'm kinda nooby if it comes to hardware :( you mean with programmes like RivaTuner?

RivaTuner could probably do it (don't know, never tested it, but I know what it does), but the default Nvidia drivers should also have some options for tweaking that.

You should be able to find the driver options themself either
- In the bottom right part of your task bar, where also e.g. the antivirus or sound controls are displayed, directly next to the clock
- Maybe directly when you make a right click on your desktop
- Or if the above is not the case, then make the right click, go to properties, and search through the options there. One should lead you to the more sophisticated graphics options
(at least I hope that; I only ever had ATI cards, so I'm not familiar with the Nvidia setup)

I had a similar problem recently. After testing, I noted that my power supply was not putting out its rated amps. Replaced the power supply with a 750W Fata1ity supply; no problems since.

How did you test this? I'm having doubts about my power supply right now and I'd like to know how to figure out if it's doing fine.

Unless you got some serious equipment at home, you do it by process of elimination. Run memtest, your drive manufacturers diagnostic software and same with your processor. Intel got IPDT which is great, AMD is harder. You should also stress your system with benchmark software and see that you don't have your system overheating and thus causing shutdowns. If all is good but you still get crashes, it's pretty high odds that it's your PSU.

Unless you just don't have the means, the best bet is to just swap out the power supply. The worst that can happen is you have a back up power supply on hand in case something does take out your power supply. If the problem goes away, then toss the old power supply.

Ok I'll have a second go since I worked at returns department at a hardware store and thus have a little bit of experience, just don't take my word for proof, I'm still talking probabilities out from my personal experience

When you say "shut down", do you mean power off completely or reboot?

If it powers off my first bet would be PSU and I'd say from experience that it's a high probability. Could be motherboard aswell but usually they cause even more drastic errors when faulty. If we are talking about random reboots it's still quite a high probability but it could be more things then. My second guess then would be overheating. CPU or bad RAM or even graphics card usually causes bluescreens.

I would use a program to monitor your temperatures, then run the game for 30 minutes or so. Then check the temperature and see how hot it is getting. Overheating is common with this game, and an overheated system will often just turn off. It would be my first guess.
