I'm not sure if this is a bug but the Holy Mountain quest isn't working for me. My state religion is Judaism and I've built 15 temples and 7 monasteries + 2 Judish synagogues, and at least same amount of other religion's buildings.

To locate the Holy Peak you'd need 22 religious buildings and a synagogue counts as 4 temples? So I'd say I have at least 30 religious buildings. That's what I understood. There's been no message about my "religious leaders" locating the place or somebody else capturing it, yet I can fail the quest by researching industrialism or changing my state religion and it's still on the quest list. It's hard to tell because I haven't been experiencing this quest before and obviously the game isn't been playable very long. But still if anybody had some views about this. Thanks in advance

Playing Dutch, I had the same quest. My state Religion was also Judaism. I also built the temples and what have you. And then, out of the blue, comes a message that the holy mountain was found. Didn't built a temple that turn, it just came.

I think that, apart from building the temples and synagogues, you have to wait a while. No idea how long, but presumably this time is being spend doing reseach.

same here I got the quest as well, but didn't get a message when I completed the religious buildings, however I checked my cities and each religious building at +2 hammers, so I thought maybe I built a city by the right mountain. Check to see if your religious buildings give you +2 hammers as well.. I liked this quest a lot. random events are a great addition.

Sorry, I meant of course that the quest is on the list AND I can make it fail by researching Industrialism or changing my state religion. It disappears from the event log if it fails. If that was unclear to somebody, it surely was for me when I wrote it...

If you post a save, then Sirian can probably investigate.....

The same thing happened with me - I had at least double, possibly triple after a while, the required holy building points, yet I never got the message saying it'd been found and I'm coming closer to Industrialisation.

One question that I'm not sure of: Do you need to have that many buildings, or build that many buildings?

In order to do the forge building quest I had to capture additional cities to get the requisite nine. Captured buildings count, the computer just inventories what you have and doesn't care where they came from.

As for the time delay, it takes time for your religious adherents to find the holy mountain once they have the religious buildings. Having a ton of buildings motivates them to start searching.

I had double the required buildings, got the quest a whole era before industrilisation, yet not once did I even get a hint from my religious men. Fast-forward to Future Technology, and nobody has achieved the quest.
