Then let me be more specific. Even aquaformers are more usefull for exploring than unity foils. They even have more range than a gunfoil 4 vs 3 and 2 for unityfoil. As far as i see it the only difference is a gun. Its all chance what is inside a pod btw? Also why would there be any aquaformers inside unity pods if you have to research techs first before you can even use them?

If possible let aquaformers only move in explored territory and disallow a move on pod plot.

I dont know how i can influence whats inside a unity Pod...but i will have a look.

If possible let aquaformers only move in explored territory and disallow a move on pod plot.

...it should be the same like the heavy Rover...i think the heavy rover can only move on sea plots wich are inside culturel borders...isnt it?!?

Some units like Cyborgs dont have a brain that would mean psi combat should not have an effect? I havent advanced far enough to the late game and i doubt i will if the time does not get extended. I guess ill just disable any early victory conditions.

For both things I do not know how, but I will can ask in the German forum.

You are right, i shouldnt overanalyse things.

I found a bug. Each turn i get TXT_KEY_CULTURE_TRANSFER_SUCCEEDED

It started with the town to the north west, then spread to the rest of my towns.
only my capital is adjacent to Miriam and Deirdre. Still other towns get/have a culture % from others.

I had vassal states on this time and both Miriam and Morgan offered to become protectorates. I am not sure if Deirdre conquered Great Conclave from Miriam. I haven't checked if they have been at war, but you'll notice Dierdre has cities on three different locations.

Well if you dont extend the time limit and make it more difficult to reach transendance victory then it wont be of much use. Since i have never researched the new techs before time ran out let alone make them more expensive.

You have to add about as much time needed to research the new techs. Ideally you reach the game climax when someone has all techs and another can reach transendance cultural/ diplo victories you get the picture. While also be able to play around with the adcanced units. Its no fun you can only use it for a very small part of the game

Ill try and translate the changelog today.
 
Can you say how higt the Flowering Counter was as you/ others reached the transendance victory???

And do you lose also in the Time vicory?!?

Hey freakwave, I would like to make the advanced technology tree more expensive, 20%-25%(researchcost), what do you think??
 
Yes i did and you want to make the ending techs more expensive to research correct?

If you do that then you have to add more gametime to research them. You say they will be to quickly researched. I can say that from two games, i was just beginning to research the new techs. The problem is that if you add techs but not extend the time then its no wonder you cant research them.

In the first two games i reached the timer (100 turns left!) In one game i lost and and the other i won transendance victory. The flowering counter had to be 100 standard map and 125 on a large map i.i.r.c.

If you take the Original Planetfall mod then its balanced if you look at the time and other victory conditions so its no wonder that if you add techs then you have to add gametime aswell. So if you want to make the end techs even more expensive then you have to, lets say add 25% more gametime. Just a wild guess. Playtesting will help.

Seconded, that mod contains reams of stuff we could plunder. Some of it would require DLL work, but lots could be copy-pasted with few adjustments straight into C2C.

As a postscript I've been hoping for the SMAC concept of orbital buildings to be added. This might be the big thing for V20.
 
I dosent understand your reaction Monaldino. I know the Team from C2C and i know for shure they will ask befor they use your ideas. The Galactic Era is still in planing and nothing specific in C2C.

It is for me looks like apple patent argument against all others. Nothing to do with reality.

Look, the modding work between Rand and C2C is a good sample. Both have benefits from each others.
