Conflict on Chiron

Hello, I found a crash to desktop after having installed your update and began an new game. The crash occurs when you discover the technology "Centauri empathy" and a dialog box offers you to name your religion. If you pick one of the first 2 names everything is fine but if you choose one of the 2 last names ("Echo of Ancestors" or "Ceti Reflexion"), then the game crashes to desktop.

I attached a screenshot and also a savegame 1 turn before that.

Another CTD spotted: for an unknown reason the game crashes to desktop for me at the end of turn 126 (no wonder constructed, no tech researched etc, I don't see anything that could be related to this CTD).

I attached a savegame just one turn before this happens, cheers.

I had the same problem. Also, why can't I choose Voice of Planet?

I had the same problem. Also, why can't I choose Voice of Planet?

Fixed the Bug/Error!

I will upload a patch...

but i wonder because i cant open your save game....


Sorry for this Error...always the same...i made an update...new things...and than i have to patch them...

Second one is inside the city view, there is an error in the planet value on the top right part of the screen: when the planet value is negative, I see this "10 < %dD2" when it should read "10 > 16".

How do I play this mod without the non-Alpha Centauri races like the Mass Effect ones?

Klick on -> Single Player

Klick on -> Custome Game

(SETTINGS)

Klick on -> Leaderselection and select your Leader/Faction

After that, select all other Factions

if you want to play a Crossfire Faction...

Klick on -> Era "Arival" and change it to Era "Alien Crossfire"

Klick on -> Leaderselection and select anyone, klick again on the leaderselection....now you will see all playable Faction, choose your Faction

(For all other Faction in your Game and if they are expansion Factions like Angels or Drones)

Klick on -> (free spot) Leaderselection and select one, klick again on the leaderselection....now you will see all playable Faction, select All the Faction who should in your game

Klick on -> Era and select your Startera...for example Arival

(OPTIONS)

CHECK the Box "no Expasion Faction"

Thanks but my question is a bit different. I am asking, how to NOT have the Aquatorians, Quarians, the Swarm, Cerberus, etc in my game. I only want traditional Alpha Centauri races.

I understand your question...
But thats what you have to do, you must choose by your own all Factions wich should be in your game...all Factions will start at the same time, no spawning.
And the faction you dont choose, are not in your game.
And by checking "no expasion Faction" no expansion Faction will spawn...thats important!!! Otherwise expansion Faction, also Factions you already choose, spawn again.
If you dont want the Swarm in your game, dont choose them...
And if you want to have the Crossfire Factions like Angels, Drones ect in your Game, you must change the Start Area...and than you will be able to add this Factions to your game too.
If you want to start in the Arival Era...change the Era back.


Sorry, but i dont no how i could explain it better...
You musst costumize your game, you cant play a standartgame...

The hotseat games looks to be a bit bugged.

1) All the civs that show up after the start of game are playable just by the first player. Other hotseat players don't receive the popup window with the proposal to play them instead of their civ.

2) There seems to be some CTD in the first third of the game. I attached couple of savegames with this. First one has CTD when loading next turn, the other one has CTD after couple of turns.

Unfortunately, I never had much time to work on the multiplayer mode. In the German forum we play PbEM. But if you want to play with a friend on one pc, or a real MP on 2 or more pc's, PbEM is not an alternative ...
for the next update I will try to reduce these errors.
