In CIV 5 G&Ks, If I Annex a city, do I get the benefits of the wonders?

Do you get the benefits if you puppet a city?

Seems some of them are destroyed when capturing the city. Is this correct?

You get the resource benefits but not any free buildings. So if you capture a city with The Great Library and annex it, you still need to build your own library.

You only need to puppet the city to get the wonder's benefits.

Agree, although there are some wonder benefits that can only be maximized in an annexed city. For example, if you want to get the most out of Brandenburg Gate or Alhambra, you'll want to annex the city (after it ceases being in revolt and you can rush-buy a courthouse).

Also, should go without saying (but I'll say it anyway): you don't get any of the "when first built" benefits of any wonders (no free great person when you capture the Leaning Tower, no free tech when you capture the Great Library, etc.)

And if you do raze a city with a world wonder in it, the world wonder cannot be built again anywhere else.

AFAIK World Wonders are never destroyed on city capture.

You COULD raze the city and permanently destroy the wonder... after that, no one else can rebuild it. I learned this the hard way =\

That's why I said on capture. Trust me in Challenge 8 I accidentaly razed Hamburg with a nuke after Bismarck retook it and i destroyed the Eiffel Tower along with it :crazyeye:
