conquered cities not expanding

Hi, I've conquered all of Egypt (ye ha) but even though I have culture per turn I'm not getting any culture points so the cities aren,'t expanding. Is there something I need to do to?

Hmm, might have to investigate Fascism a bit. I did not know that was one of the characteristics. Is that a consequence of the Xenophobia?

yeah you don't get culture until you have a population majority. (more of your population than foreigners)

on the top of the city screen it says how long until the next cultural expansion.

But what do you mean that you "have culture per turn but not getting any culture points"... ?

No, sorry, my fault. You are right it is fascism (can't be vanilla). Once the city grew to size 11 it started to expand.

What I meant was I get 5 culture points per turn from a temple and something else, a library I think, but no points were accumulating at the top of the city screen. It always said zero. Turns out it's because I'm in fascism.

yeah you only get culture when there's more citizens of your nationality than the other nationality

makes me wonder, why are you in Fascism? And does it work for you?

I wanted to go to war and not worry about WW. Fascism seems to have been a good choice but haven't tried out Communism. I've got 30-40 cities and raking in about 600 got. Some corruption but everywhere is profitable. Only chieftain though!

I'm the other way around. I've tried Communism (and it is actually my preference when I have a honkin' huge empire) but I've never gone into Fascism.

But yeah, wait for your cities to have a majority of your nationality.
