This is not an in-game bug, but thought I would see if anybody else is seeing this. When Conquests is running, my Mozilla browser that is running (connected to CFC ;) ) will start using 99% of my processor. This is the case at all times Conquests is running, except when a game is loaded, and will continue for about a minute after I close Conquests. I have tested this several times, and Mozilla does not do this with any of my other applications. Also, it does not do this with vanilla Civ3.

I've had a somewhat different problem with running Mozilla in the background, and I had it with PTW, too. After a long time of playing, I'll be clicking around the advisor screens and start getting popups of "Too many hyperlinks" IIRC. Closing Mozilla fixes the problem and prevents it from happening again. I now close Mozilla before plaing Civ3.

I'm running MozillaFirebird 0.6.1, and it was CivFan up in Mozilla, but I don't know if that has anything to do with it.

I don't understand why one could affect the other (Civ & Moz). It doesn't make sense to me. Even if Civ is using HTML APIs I would think they would be hard-coded to MSIE APIs whether Mozilla was open or not. Then again Mozilla is my default browser.

I use PTW and the latest Mozilla (Mozilla 1.4
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.4) Gecko/20030624) with no troulbes at all.

looking forward to C3C

I actually have similar sort of problem with IE & MS Word. Both are fine running at the same time as the game, but when I shut down Civ they go crazy. Other programs don't seem to do this.

I've XP pro on a AMD 1GH, and i can attest when IE6 is running in the brackground and i'm playing or have just (as in less than 5 min...) shut C3C (was true for PTW, I don't recall for Civ3) my CPU is choking at 100%. I have to kill my browser's processus to go down to 0%.
There is a memory leak somewhere. Not that's very bad, but it's boring.

Nope i didn't run out of memory, my mem. was used around 7% and i got an effective 704 Mb of RAM.

LoL! Actually I noticed exactly the same (Mozilla 1.5) though I didn't think of reporting it as C3C bug. But in fact it doesn't happen on any other occasion - C3C is the only prog that makes my Mozilla freeze (for 4-6 seconds) everytime I enter it. That's annoying since I usually read CivFanatics while enemy's turn passes...
