Hi
I have an SMC barricade router and cannot get conquests going for LAN games on civ conquests. I have set port forwarding via the virtual server option for all the ports mentioned in the manual (even though most of these are for internet gaming rather than lan). I have installed the IPX/SPX protoccol on both machines I want to use for the game. I have set the ports up in windows xp aswell as
in the router configuration. I have added both machines to the DMZ. I have diabled the firewall. No matter what I try, the machine that is josting goes to the screen after the initial join screen when I try a lan game and freezes up. I have tried to host as an internet game instead and the other machine can join but the 5 second countdown only goes on the host machine (which freezes up at launch)
and the client bombs back to the conquests startup screen. I have also tried via gamespy but that was a total none-starter. Any suggestions gratefully received, thanks...
