Conquests features comprehensive survey

Blood Cult is a goverment in the mesoamerican scenario. Quoted from IGN:

"The greatest one-two-three punch combination in the technology tree occurs with the discovery of Enslavement, Ritual Sacrifice, and a late-game government called Blood Cult that allows players to shift their economies to focus on the production of weapons and military units"

:)

This is not worthy of its own thread but what do you think the three tutorial conquests will be? Maybe one about wonder victories, one focusing on military victories, and one of diplomatic or cultural victories. And could somebody please list all of the new resources, core or conquest, in one post, thanks.

Here's what I know:
Stone
Llamas
Exotic Birds
Oasis
Salt
Jade
Maize
Silver
Clay
Tobacco
Sugar

i think that the tutorials will be focusing on new aspects of the game, so they may be focused on a single task rather than just how to win

You're right, maybe one focusing on the regular game like a basic tutorial of CIV and maybe one about things like stealth attack, enslavement, and sacrificing. Perhaps a third one will be a very easy conquest explaining what conquests are and how to play in them.

I know, but I think the very first thing I'll do is LOOK at each conquest in chronological order and then PLAY them in a different order, but first the tutorials. I bet the easiest tutorial will be better than most other games out there! Long live CIV!

Somebody asked a question that confirms the Dutch UU is a Swiss Mercenary (almost a trick question, too ;) )

The Portugese have a naval unit (Carrack)

Has anyone else noticed that they're using clan symbols for their Sengoku campaign? I wonder what they'll do for the rest, perhaps flags, or slightly modified leaderheads (notice how I said slightly, I don't mean entirely new leaderheads). Maybe they're putting in a little more detail than I thought...

EDIT:

Looks like we have these other clans confirmed (remember, I listed them first):

Mori
Oda

and that we have... Sake as an extra resource.

I found them in the Screenie section on the UGO interview. I know that they've been repetative with screenshots, but I check them out anyways. I'm currently going through them. Here's another one. This time it's for the Meso-America one:

There's something new here: eggs, or whatever they are.

EDIT:
I noticed something else. It seems like you can sacrifice your own citizens :satan:. That button next to the rush button definately isn't a draft button...

Those screens (the flag ones) have been at the CivIII site for a while.

Oh and, gunnerxtr, I think the infantry your thinking of is the TOW infantry. Aparently it's a modern anti-tank infantry.

i think that the button that u are referring to is the contact governer button;)

Well, when I put them on, I didn't know that they've been around. I don't check Civ3 very often because they seldomly update, so I've been putting my trust in these other sites for conquest news. Also, for both of these, it seems like we've missed some things (even if they're minor). I looked through the list to make sure that I wasn't mentioning anything that wasn't already said. It's possible that a lot of people overlooked these screenshots. So, technically, there are no new screenshots.

Edit (so that I'm not double posting):

Is that what that is? I haven't played Play the World because I wasn't interested in multiplayer, I wanted to see what other people would say, and that I was just plain flat broke . However, when I learned that Conquests would include (at that time it was a possibility, not a certainty) Play the World, I had enough for it, but thought that I could wait a bit and get both. I might wait until it gets down to $19.99, but if I can't wait, I'll gladly splurge the $29.99.

i think that it is a very good idea for them to use those flags or symbols for the japanese clans because that will save a bunch of space

Yeah, and I would have been very disappointed with it if it didn't have those in there one way or another. Personally, I thought that they were going to have the traditional Japanese one with the family crests in the background, but I like this better.

Stated during the chat.
There will be an "extra" civ on the CD.
Austria : Including a Leaderhead and UU unit animation. They are not playable ingame right out of the box. But you can mod them in probably.
So they we're the originally planned 8th civ I presume.

What chat?!? I thought that It was happening 21:00 my time. Could you please clarify which chat?

EDIT:
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I missied it! I can't believe it! I should check these things more thoroughly, as it looks like it's only a one hour difference. I can't believe that I thought it was more. I guess I'm going to have to read the chat now.
