Conquests features comprehensive survey

You can add civs up to the limit of 31, just like PTW.

But if the new civs are playable in the "random" game, then Atari have already filled all 31 slots, so where could I add any more!?

just like in the good all days of CIV2, remove one to add one.... and some of us thought they really learned from the old mistakes.... I guess it takes time and more then one version of a game for designers to really change the system...

question: What does a TOW Infantry look like???

could someone post a picture of it?

I haven't experimented with this for Civ3, but it might be possible to replace the barbarians with Austria. This way you wouldn't really have to replace anyone. Besides, barbarians are always minor problems to me compared to full fledged civs. It's not like they've ever prevented me from winning .

EDIT: Scratch that idea. It just doesn't work :(. I just tried it out. I thought that there was a toggle for a race to be a barbarian, when in all reality, it's just the first civ on your list.

What about the Austrians, does anybody know about their leady and/or UU? I heard they were a *bonus* civ.

Hmm.. what civ to replace the Austrians with? Bye bye America.

Leader will probably a Napoleonic one since it is the conquest it could/should have been in, unit might be Napoleonic-era too. SO Francois II (or I depending on Austria or Holy Roman Empire) could be the leader. UU : Latour Dragoon, Uhlan ?

TOW was a wire-guided, primarily infantry-carried (although also vehicle mounted) anti-tank weapon used in the '70s. Think very bulky bazooka with a joystick, and the rocket-propelled warhead literally trailing hundreds of yards of wire for guidance purposes. TOW/OTOW weapons systems were replaced by improved laser-targeting systems in the '80s (IIRC these had their primitive debut in Vietnam against very large, immobile targets, like bridges).

Dromon (Byzantines) :2.1.3, lethal sea bombardment

Im pretty sure that the Viking Longboat is a medievel scenario unit becasue Jeff Atari was takling about playing that scenario and having fun unloading berserkers from his viking longboats
