Hey guys! I was craving my Civ fix so I acquired a copy of the Civ III Deluxe Box, with Conquests and the fan kit from my brother. When I installed and patched vanilla Civ III on my girlfriend's laptop it ran fine, and still does, but for some reason Conquests won't run.
It won't even open, it just gives a Windows 'program has encountered an error and had to close' error message.
I've tried patching it, uninstalling and reinstalling the expansion, reinstalling the whole lot, but it doesn't make a difference. But vanilla Civ III runs fine.
My girlfriend's laptop is a Sony Vaio with a 1.70Ghz Intel Celeron, and 504MB RAM, with Windows XP Home and service pack 2, if any of that helps!
