This is what Article III section 7a) says.
Code:
During turns 15 a thread shall be opened for nominations. Any citizen may
nominate any other citizen, including themselves, for any position that is up
for election. The nominee then must accept the nomination.
As it stands ATM, it means that every person who is nominated must accept the position. I think this is not ver democratic, because we want members to participate to the level they want to participate. So here are the changes to that part in bold.
Code:
During turns 15 a thread shall be opened for nominations. Any citizen may
nominate any other citizen, including themselves, for any position that is up
for election. The nominee then [s]must[/s] [B]can either[/B] accept [B]or decline[/B] the nomination.
This is a real easy issue to fix. This just makes the nomination process better for those who want to refuse a position.

i meant that as in "needs to accept the nomination for it to count"

I'd be fine with this wording as well as Mr. Hero's. First one to a poll gets my thumbs up.

It's not wording change, or amendment It's an intended reading of the text. We don't need to change anything.

Perhaps we should enforce the running one office rule :).

Article III-8:
8) No person may hold the same elected office 2 terms in a row or hold more
than 1 office at the same time, except in cases where the position would
otherwise not be filled.
Double dipping is already prohibited.
