Cool and ugly looking ships

"Hurricane Jumper".....HMS Calliope, circa 1885. Cool.

How many out there thinks this ship looks 'good' ? I think it is just another ugliness among modern warships.

Is it really that bad?

Some people think it's utter rubbish. It's an interesting theory nonetheless. The fleet did exist and made seven voyages as far as Africa. Ming China certainly has the capability, if historical evidence and records are anything to go by.

SS Great Eastern:

The Great Eastern was broken up on the shoreline about 1/4 of a mile from where I was born. One of the top masts was taken by Liverpool FC and used as a flagpole.

I like side by side (sort of) turrets on the front end, but they should've made those guns dual turrets and had more of them. Make it more like the Age of Dreadnoughts (and Sail): More guns!

I don't think it's that ugly, though I do think the command bridge should be set higher up. But you know officers, anything to make it easier for them :mischief:

No ones ever actually made one, but I always loved the idea of Battlecarriers. (I think Wyrmshadow made one)

The WWII battleships tended to be good looking. The WWI leftover battleships generally were not.

What about the Queen Elizabeth or Fuso classes? I particularly like Fuso, as I do most Japanese big gun designs.

Fuso Class (Fuso, Haruna, and Yamashiro)

The Fusos in particular were fantastic ships, I'd dare say the best before the Fast Battleships of late WWII.
