Corrupt Save Files - No Solution?

Hello, I seem to have the same problem as someone in another thread : if I save a game after a few turns it won't load and gives me an error message but the game does not crash. I can still load older games and they work fine. But this way I loose a lot of time and I can't go any further in the game anymore!
I am still looking of course, but so far I haven't seen any solutions posted here and the problem is there either with or without the patch for 1.16f
Help.. anybody?
Oh and let me say that this has only happened recently (up to then I was playing and saving just fine) and I am already in the industrialization era

Tell what the error message was. Some can be fixed. And post the save zipped.

Following your suggestion Gramphos, I took a closer look at the error message. It was something like this: "IOError. .... UNIT".
So that got me thinking.. I had used the multi tool some turns before in order to insert a Barbarian Settler Unit in the game.
So I used it again to remove it and everything works just fine now!
BTW, I have even tried the game in a laptop and I have no problems..
