How did your Hittites do?

The Hittites turned out to be a surprisingly good civ for OCC - expansionist is good for popping huts and meeting AI civs early, and commercial, needless to say, is a really powerful boost to funds. I was really surprised that I could out-research Sumeria, which had taken over the rest of the continent. (In fact, I played a bit further after the game ended and the AI civs didn't even discover Sanitation by the time I finished the modern age!)

Theodora declared war on me very late and I had the pleasure of blowing up her sailing ships with my destroyers. Otherwise I remained at peace the whole game.

Open, 20K in 1802

I really enjoyed not having to work hard to stay alive in this game. I went 20K in my second city as I didn't enjoy the 20K options at the start and set up the settler factory in the capital. Tarsus went on the river amongst all the hills, one tile off the coast. I had one coastal tile rather than a bunch of desert. I got a MGL in the 600's, which is early for me. The only noteworthy thing in my game is that I lost Hattusas to an AI landing party that I hadn't anticipated, and Tarsus ended up with a free palace in 800.

I got annoyed with losing cities to Sumeria via culture flips, so I took over the continent. Consequently my Jason score is one of my highest ever, over 6000. I expect that this will not put me in the top half of the field on this map, though.
