Hi, i have Civ5 crash after new update. I started new game, and when i'm trying to end my turn, game crashes while city-states is turning. I tried to do validating the game files and it's says that there is 2 broken files and it's will be downloaded anew. After this i launch the game, load my save (0 turn) and it's crashes again at the same situation. I started validating the game files again, and it once again says that 2 files is broken. I tried to reinstall the game, but it didn't help.

Is this only a problem with that one save, or does it happen everytime? (in the former case: start a new game and just forget about it).

Else: :dunno:. You should update your graphics card driver (yes, the fall patch made that necessary for many people), and try to turn down your graphics settings (especially the fog of war).

It's crashes everytime. I tried to start new game at several different maps, but it's still crashes at the end of the turn, or when i meet first CPU leader. Driver's update didn't help also.

Have you now already tried to turn down the graphics settings?
Also the leaders please (because you say they lead to a crash too), especially when they've been set to high.

Yes i did. Leaders now crashes with 50% probability. Anyway it's better now, thanks. But what do you think is the reason for me to have crashes at maximum graphic settings? Before last two updates i had no crash here with the same settings.

With the fall patch, they made quite some optimizations to the graphics code. That was meant to make the whole thing faster, which is also the case for many people. But obviously it causes also problems on a wide range of cards, mainly old Intel cards with outdated drivers and a seemingly random set of ATI cards :dunno:.
There does not really seem to be a pattern for the ATI cards, so no idea what could be behind it :dunno:.

Would this not fit under deleting the .WMV files? Could they have been corrupted and need to be deleted and I assume they will be automatically re-downloaded?

No it's not. These 2 broken files from my first post was Civ5_dx11.exe and civ5_tablet.exe. I'm tried to delete them, then it was re-downloaded, but steam validation told me that these files are still broken.

Have you tried using another steam server?
