Crash at gameplay, vanilla edition

Hi all

I downloaded the mod, and have searched for a solution to this but haven't found it. I'm running Civ4 Vanilla, and FFH2 version .23, with media pack. I can get through the initial part, all the menus and civ choosers and things, but when I try to start the actual game, I get the old "Civilization 4 has had an error and must be shut down" error report whatsy. I have patch C installed, didn't help. I only downloaded this today so its straight v.23, no previous versions.

You probably need to patch Civ4 to the latest patch (I think that was 1.74).

0.23 works on 1.61

I downloaded the patch, its still crashing I'm afraid. I have the game edition that came with the Chronicles special pack if that makes a difference. Other mods have worked too.
