Cray: A Fantasy Mod

Sorry for the lack of updates...

I have decided to keep going with this thing...Its amazing how being sick motivates you!

yeha, well, that just proves that axe-men have horrible memories. ;-)

Just a severe case of allergies that has me down, yet that in itself can be rather crippling.

I am going to assume that the "What's new" was in regard to the mod, yes?

In that case, I have finished the map (finally). I have begun adding units, and am beginning to think about the damned tech tree...

Not yet, as far as I know.

The only thing that I know I will need for certain right now is a human knight, who looks like this: (minus the eyeball monster)

This was a concept drawing that my girlfriend did, based on original designs by me.

The shield (only half seen) is just a basic roundshield, Norse-ish in design, about the same size as a Greek aspis.

The helmet is similar the one shown below, but does not have the nose piece down the front. Also, it sports two of the leaf emblems on the sides, sticking up. (Think the gull-wings on Gondorian helms)

I would also love to have a version of that as an archer. The emblem on his shoulder is also on the chest plate, only larger, and, if this unit is made, must feature prominently (again, think "White Tree" of Gondor in LOTR).

Although the entire unit has many Graecian influences, it should look mainly European.
 
I look forward to seeing anything that may develop, both for the LH's and the mod. :)

No. :p Its a tattoo (around his eyes, the lighter bits) symbolizing power that his family traditionally is given when they take control. The darker bits are a birthmark that, in the book I am working on (remember, that is where this comes from), is seen as a horrible disfigurement that is commented on many times.

The scar looking things are scars. :)
