Crazy Weird Bug after Turn 1

I just downloaded the beta for the 1st time of GEM. I load it and the latest CivUp only and after my 1st turn this is what my screen looks like. I can't choose any production or go into the city screen. my unit disappeared and the fog of war no longer goes away.

i have cleared all my logs and caches and it still happens after turn 1 no matter if i settle or not.

any ideas?

Just to double check, you have these in the mods folder:

G&K Enhanced Mod (v1.11 Beta)
Civ V Unofficial Patch v2.2.1 (GK)

Both are enabled ingame, and you start a game with mods -> next -> singleplayer, playing on a normal size and speed map, with a typical map type like Continents or Pangaea?

After starting the game, the lua.log file should have a long list of stuff it did to create the map, followed by (probably) some error messages.
 
for some reason nothing is getting logged to the lua.log file. i tried clicking the "+" sign too.

i know it used to have information in it at some point because i have played VEM but now nothing...

I created a normal game with no mods and my lua.log was still blank...
 
Did you check step #2, enabling these variables in config.ini? I think the file got reset in G&K.

MessageLog = 1
LoggingEnabled = 1
EnableLuaDebugLibrary = 1
 
OK so apparently logging was disabled but i got it enabled and i when i tried the mods again i got text in my lua.log file.

i also was able to go into the city screen and pick a building to construct but this time i could not select a science to research. see attached pic.

also attached is my lua.log file.

Thank you, I think that helped. :)

Are you able to update to version 1.0.2.21 of the main Civ game on a mac? The log file indicated it can't find building attributes added for the Grand Temple national wonder in the Nov 1st fall patch. If you are unable to update the main game, I attached some older versions of the mod you can try.

I figured it was because the MAc version was not patched yet. I guess I will have to wait for that!

How much time does logging consume? Will it cause a performance decrease?
 
See if the version of the mod I included in that zip file works. The mod rarely logs information so it shouldn't affect performance. I need to head to sleep now, but I'll check back again tomorrow. :)
