Hi,

i have been modifying a custom civ that was creted by another member of this forum. NV's Australia by NycholusV.
what i have done.
i have made it standalone (no need to modify core gme files)
i have added custom civilization and leader icons. (importing dds files)
what i cant do and cant seem to find any help on is these problems.
when you go to select you civ from the menu the icons do not work. when loading it shows teddy and in game when selecting the civ it shows cleopatra.
i have attached some screen shots so you can see what i mean. anyone have any ide about this?? any help would be appreciated.

Hi there, I don't any answers for your problems, but I will tell you that you'll have much better luck if you can zip and upload your mod so that people can actually find the problem instead of speculating what you did wrong.

it is not anything i have done wrong from what i can tell. all the icons are used correctly in game. it is the same thing i have seen in many other mods and i am unsure as to wether or not this can actually be done yet. i did not post a zip of the mod because as i said in it is a modified version of someone elses mod.

So i have established that custom loading screen and custom leader model is not yet able to be done.
what i do have an issue with is that when the mod is made standalone (not touching core game files) the civ and leader icons do not display on civ selection screen.
the will work if the entries in the icon.xml's are added to the core game files.
However when using custom icons imported via my mod the icons will not load on initial start of game even when in the base game fiiles. they will only load after starting a game and then going back.
they work correctly in game at all times regardless of how it is done. i assume it has to do with mod assets not being loaded correctly until after a game has commenced.

here are some screenshots. i do not know if this can be worked around or not
