Hi, this is my first ever map. I decided to do Crete because it was obscure (I don't think anyone has done it for Civ 4 before) and I didn't want to add to the millions of Earth or Europe maps.

Resources are not accurate (by Crete's standards). Terrain is semi-accurate, I know it gets drier and higher in the middle, but I exagarated that for the sake of the game. As for rivers, I picked a map and based them loosley on that. However, considering the size of Crete, and the size of the map in comparison, small streams were probably turned into raging rivers.

I put 8 players (Greece, Germany, Mongolia, India, England, China, America, France). I choose those because I didn't know how to make it so you could choose anyone you want. I thought those choices gave a pretty good variety of traits. The map is small because I have sympathy for people with computers like I have. :)

It has eight players cause I like my maps a little crowded, adds a little more confrontation.

I didn't post a screenie of the whole map cause I don't know how :( so i just zoomed out as far as I could. Could someone clue me in on how to take a screenie of the whole map?

Other than that, just tell me what you think but don't be too harsh it's my first map.

Thanks for the feedback Head Serf. Hopefully I'll get some more info on what people think soon.

Wow. This looks awesome. I'm going to d/l and play it right now. I'm glad I came to check out this site before I sat down to play today.

Looks alright to me. I saw in the pic that you go by the name "pudding bandit", thats an original name  .
