Maybe a crop wonder of some sort? I think its too cute of a farm house to not be used up.

I was just looking in the Civ Editor, and you can set it to need Wines to build as an improvement.

but what does it do?

...Well, it could be a happiness modifier, because alot of wine means happy people :P

It could also:
- Reduce war weariness (soldiers are not so unhappy when drunk :D)
- Produce a Wine Shippment unit (to be disbanded for money/shields/vic points);
- Increase Luxury Trade or +50% Luxury/Tax Output;
- and so on;

I will be using it to replace Winery in my scenario, thank you.

If you play with the field, you could even set a package of diferent cultures:
- Olive Trees;
- Corn;
- Wheat;
- Fruit trees;
- and so on;
 
You can also set it, if built in coastal cities, or those within one tile of the coast, to "increase food in water". For a coastal city, that can give a big boost in production. Right now, I do that with the granary, and a few other things. I do this as aside from irrigation, there is no way to increase food production from land tiles. I find that most irritating, as one of the areas that I study is the increase in agriculture yields over time.
